I have been actively involved in photography since 1970, purchasing my first camera from the Fort Knox Army PX, where I was stationed.
I pride myself in performing ALL the processing and production of each image directly in my home. My personal workflow includes -
- Extensive processing via Light Room & Photoshop
- All printing, using an Epson 7600 wide format printer, Epson Ultra Chrome pigmented inks, and Natural White, 100% cotton rag fine art paper
- All print mounting and lamination - mounting to 3/16” warp-free Coda Gatorfoam, and laminating with 5 mil Coda matte laminate, for a glare-free display
- All framing
When you purchase one of my images, whether a loose print or completely framed, you are purchasing MY skills & talents ONLY, not that of a commercial photo lab, or anyone else.
My choice of camera equipment has been a medium format Hasselblad, since 1972. I have owned & used several other brands of cameras in the interim (Nikon, Mamiya, Contax, among others), but Hasselblad is the only brand that has permanent residency in my camera bag. I began using a digital Hasselblad in 2008, and currently use the X1D with a 50 megapixel back and XCD lenses.
